Unless I'm mistaken, the land on and surrounding the South Witham CAFO, is on a Principal Acquifer which was one of the reasons that the Environmental Agency objected to permission for the Nocton proposals. Looks like they will have the same issue in South Witham if they submit proposals officially.
The Environment Agency objected on the grounds that there was an unacceptable risk to groundwater due to a number of factors, including that the area was on a Principal Acquifer.
For those in the village of South Witham, Lincolnshire (and their supporters) who wish to try to prevent the construction of a Concentated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) or Battery Cow Factory Farm, immediately outside our village.
